They will be performing for the first time a “just for them” song entitled “The Missouri Coteau” with music by Trent Worthington and words by Saskatchewan’s own cowboy poet Ken Mitchell. Looking for something to do this winter? The Yorkton Cross Country Ski Club invites the public to come check out the City of Yorkton Municipal Deer Park Golf Course and the ski trails that the club sets. There are 3 loops varying in distances that total 7 kms. The terrain varies from level to fairly hilly, a great workout for both new and experienced skiers. Trails are set in both classic and skate style tracks. The club house is open Sundays 1 - 3 and ski rentals are available. Ski equipment can be rented for a day or a week. Lessons are available on request. Use of the trails is free to all but membership is encouraged to help maintain the trails and equipment. Gen. Alexander Ross branch, Royal Canadian Legion, is alive and well. Come out and meet our 2015 executive. They are making plans to revitalize our branch, but they need your help. Meetings on last Wednesday of the month. Gunners lounge open weekdays and Saturdays at 3 p.m. New members and guests of members welcome in the lounge. Darts Monday 7 p.m., Cribbage Saturdays at 1 p.m. Also pool and shuffleboard available.
