Yorkton’s community theatre group Paper Bag Players is hosting their annual theatre Dec. 7 to 9. On Dec. 8 and 9 doors open at 6:30, supper served at 7:00 and performance begins at 8:00. Dec. 7 performance only starting at 7 p.m. This year’s play is the comedy ‘Bad Year for Tomatoes’ by John Patrick. “A hilarious comedy dealing with the very funny misfortunes of a famous television actress who seeks to “get away from it all” in  a small New England town.” Tickets are available at www.paperbagplayers.com.

Canada 150 Fall Concert – Yorkton Regional High – Anne Portnuff Theatre. In celebration of Canada 150, the Yorkton and District music community is hosting a fall concert at the Yorkton Regional High School - Anne Portnuff Theatre on Sat., Nov. 4 at 7:00 p.m. The concert will include Yorkton Regional High Bands and Choir, Yorkton Community Choir and Yorkton Community Adult Band. Special guests will include dancers, drummers and members of the RCMP in red surge. A concert of Canadian music will be featured in this community fundraising project with proceeds to the Anne Portnuff Theatre Revitalization Project.
