Council lines up designer for new aquatic park building

Council accepted SveinCo Developments’ proposal for design and drafting services for the new aquatic park service building at an estimated cost of $7,992.

Council hired Jaden Bisschop as summer student for the 2021 season.

Council acknowledged the provincial school division mill rates for 2021 as follows: agricultural property, 1.36 mills; residential property, 4.46 mills; commercial/industrial property, 6.75 mills; and resource property, 9.79 mils.

Council authorized Councillor Brad Gabora to attend the MuniSask Harassment and Disputes webinar to be held May 18.

Council authorized the removal of all golf club machinery from the Town of Canora commercial insurance policy, effective May 7.

A bylaw to control and regulate sidewalk and curb crossings was introduced, read three times, and adopted.
