The Town of Lampman and RM of Browning are offering pickup/delivery service to those in need of it who live in the RM or the town during this time of self-isolation.

Greg Wallin, who is the administrator for the two municipalities, said he and Jay Jones, the mayor of Lampman, have offered to pick up and deliver groceries or medication to whoever needs it, sourced either from Lampman or Estevan.

“If people need, phone the town office, Jay or myself,” Wallin said. We would gladly pick it up – groceries, medications. Whatever they need.”

While the offer was posted on the town’s Facebook page on March 18, no calls have come in yet. “I haven’t had any calls,” Wallin said.

He thinks that the push for everyone to stay home will change that, however.

The office is now closed to the public, and they’ve reduced how many people are in the office building at once. The RM’s road maintenance crews are still working, but they’ve enacted a policy whereas each operator stays with a particular machine. That way, it limits any possible spread of contagion.

“We’re not switching equipment between machines. If you drive the truck, you drive the truck,” he said.

The RM had a few positions open that they were looking to hire people for, but that’s on hold, for now. He said they’re sitting on applications.

A hamper has also been set up at the rink for food donations, and for people who may need some food.

Effective March 21 and until further notice the Lampman Waste Disposal Site is closed.

If you live in the town or Lampman or RM of Browning and need something picked up and delivered, call Wallin at 306-487-7944. They also have a joint Facebook page.
