CALDER - Playschool coming in September


Congratulations to Kama Bauer and Scott Jones on their recent marriage. With a little rain shower that day, the sun came out for the couple to have a wonderful day with family and friends. Gift opening was held out at Beryl and Brian's farm the next day.

Congratulations to Ashley Kohut and Derek Lesann on their recent marriage. Family and friends gathered at Wroxton Hall for a wonderful meal, great music and visiting with each other throughout the night. Gift opening was held in Yorkton the next day at Derek's parents place.

With the wonderful weather we have been having, the farmers are busy getting the hay crops down and baled up, before they have to pull out the grain trucks and the combines to take off the crops.

Sympathy goes out to the Ironside families and the Liebrecht families on the recent passing of Margaret Liebrecht.

Sympathy goes out to Lorraine, Jimmy, Liz and family and Mary and Fred's family on the recent passing of Edna.

April and Marie Rohantensky and Margie Oliowski travelled to Winnipeg for a few days.

Karen and Eddie Antony along with Herb Harper and family attended a family barbeque at the Kamsack Nursing Home where Martha Harper is staying.

Steven Sorochan and his son Bob from Nanaimo, BC were out visiting with his cousin Margie Mankish and Virginia Wanely.

The Calder Good Neighbour Centre held their whist drive and here are the winners: 1st Shirley Hanson, 2nd Arthur Marteniuk, 3rd Elmer Eftoda and low was Donna Fustey. Pot of Gold winners were Marie Rohatensky and Gordon Kahut.

Patsy Klem will be holding an Auction Sale at the Calder Rink on Sept. 14, 2014. Watch for posters.

Calder Annual Fall Supper will be held on Sept. 28, 2014 at the Calder Community Hall. Supper starts at 4:30 till 7:00. Doors will be opened at 4:30.

Kathleen Antony and Dave Stupak travelled to Ottawa to visit Matt and Lisa for a few days.

Amanda Antony and Adam Barkley took in the Virden Indoor Rodeo and visited with Adam's family.

Speedy Recovery to Pete Swerhun, who is a patient in Regina.

Calder Playschool Program will be starting up in October. Three or four year olds are welcome to attend. For more information phone Karen at 306-742-2167.
