DUBUC - Persistence pays at potluck

Coffee Row goers were blessed with another round of "free coffee" on Saturday morning when Maureen Toth bought for everyone and supplied fruit bread, cheese and sausage for a snack. Maureen also brought napkins with the design of hundred dollar bills to announce that she was now "in the money"!

Congratulations, Maureen, and we hope you have many more happy birthdays and healthy years ahead. Several of her family members dropped in to celebrate with Maureen on Sunday evening which was her real birth date.

The regular monthly potluck supper was held at the hut on Wed. with about 2 dozen hungry people in attendance. Melba McAlpine was the lucky door prize winner. And, finally, yes, finally, Audrey Nielsen won the 50/50 after buying tickets at every potluck supper for a good number of years.

Lately, she had been quite vocal about her lack of luck so I guess maybe the squeaky wheel does get the oil after all.

Girls, we hope your luck continues into the new year.
