Elder abuse event set

“Your age please?” asked the census taker. “Well” said the woman, “let me figure this out, I was 18 when I was married and my husband was 30. He is now 60 or twice as old as he was then so then I’m 36.”

Laketown Leaders will host a community service event: “Elders/Senior Abuse” on Tues., April 21 at 11:00 a.m. in Saltcoats Stirling Room. The presentation will be courtesy of the RCMP and the Town of Saltcoats for the venue this is an open, public event and all are welcome.

The regular Laketown Leaders meeting will be Mon., April 6 at 10:00 a.m. The Noon Pot Luck Luncheon for April is Mon., April 20.

Ecumenical church worship on Good Friday, April 3 at 9:30 hosted by Saltcoats United church.

Saltcoats United Church Easter worship is 9:30 a.m. Sun., April 5.

Saltcoats Museum appreciated everyone’s patronage of the 2014 Dinner Theatre “Curio Shop”. As proposed, half of the proceeds are to be shared with a charity. The Museum purchased 1 goat, chickens and a rooster for $150.00 and a piglet plus chicks for $65.00. Thanks everyone.
