Laketown Leaders regular Monday coffee time is 9 to 10 a.m. at the Stirling Room. Card playing is Mondays. Wednesdays and Fridays from 1 to 4:40 p.m. The usual afternoon coffee/tea break is at 3:00 p.m. on those card days.

The "Proclamation" continues April 30, May 1, 2, 3, and 4 from 6 to 9:00 p.m. The Sunday, May 4 last evening of reading scripture in a public place will end with praise and prayer.

Jim and Phyllis McCallum spent a few days recently in Saskatoon where they visited with their grand kids Marissa and Mitchell who are attending University of Saskatchewan. They also met with Phyllis's brother Habeeb Salloum and his daughter Mina of Toronto. The Saskatchewan Tourism 25th annual awards night were held at TCU place. Habeeb had been short listed by tourism Sask. To receive 2013 award of excellence in Travel Media category. The award recognized contributions to travel in Tourism including Culinary Industry in province of Saskatchewan.

Laketown Leaders Pie and Coffee sales at the Stirling Room on garage sale Sat., May 31 also welcome baking and saleable donations.

Sat., May 10, 2014 is the Annual Mother's Day Strawberry Tea at the Stirling Room. This major fundraiser for Saltcoats Library also will have a door prize draw included in the $6.00 admission.

Saltcoats Anglican will hold a mid-week said Communion service on Thursday, May 15 at 10:00 a.m. This event is open to the public.

Nina Cross had the following out of town visitors for her recent birthday party: Cheryl, Jodi and daughter Jill Raugust of Thorsbury, Alberta, Shawn, Terri and twins of Saskatoon, Doris and Ed Horne of Candle Lake, Jim, Cathy and Daniel Cross of Victoria, British Columbia, and Ernie, Lisa, Laura and Nicholas of Weyburn. Tina Nesbitt of Yorkton was present too. We think she knows many of us as we are always having Saltcoats conversations with her that are meant for Nina!

The regular monthly Musical evening is Wed., May 21 at 7:00 p.m. held in Saltcoats Anglican Church. The guest is Judy Smider of Esterhazy along with Laura Lomenda ( previous accordion guest). As usual refreshments are available.

Note to mark your calendars for the Annual Street Party on Sun., June 8 from 2 to 4:00 p.m. at St. Augustine's. Kiddie cart ride will be pulled by Bangor Heritage Days driver, Brain Jones. The usual hot dogs, sundaes and games will be going on.

United church worship is Sun., May 4, 11 and 18 at 9:00 p.m. The office hours are Mondays and Fridays 8:30 to noon and 1 to 4:00p.m. with Tuiesdaysa half day 8:30 to noon.
