22-year-old Muenster man charged in connection to racist graffiti

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt RCMP have charged a 22-year-old Muenster man in connection to racist graffiti spraypainted on the walls of some Main Street businesses in September.

HUMBOLDT — Humboldt RCMP have charged a 22-year-old Muenster man in connection to racist graffiti spraypainted on the walls of some Main Street businesses in September.

The vandalism to the 600 block businesses, located between Sixth Avenue and Seventh Avenue, included the swastika and the symbol used by the Schutzstaffel, as well as the words, “It’s okay 2 be white,” and “SSkinheadss.”

The crimes took place in the night between Sept. 2 and Sept. 3. Police were dispatched on Sept. 3.

Humboldt RCMP said they arrested the man on Sept. 27. The man has been charged with mischief under $5000, and will make his first court appearance on Monday, Dec. 7 in Humboldt Provincial Court.
