I'm sure everyone has heard of Kids Help Phone, the help line that gives advice for those who struggle with mental health. Well, the company also created the annual Walk So Kids Can Talk. This walk is being held in forty communities all across Canada on May 6. Unfortunately, there is no walk in Saskatchewan, but there is a virtual walk still being held on the same date.

Since Kids Help Phone is a free online and on the phone service with no government profits being administered, they organize the walk. Volunteers ask citizens for pledging money to go towards Kids Help Phone, so kids will have an organization where their problems are understood and dealt with.

It is very simple to start raising funds. You log into the website, walksokidscantalk.com, and create a pro- file with the walk location you will be attending Once your profile is finished print off the pledging sheet and start helping out a worthy cause.

Volunteering may not be the most exciting thing to do, but to help out those who have no one to talk to is a reward on its own. Some of you may have or had de- pression, anxiety, or other mental health troubles, so I ask you to help those who have been in your situation. Maybe there could be a world free of any issues teens today face. People could feel safe to go to school or be themselves.

If you want to pledge you can set goals for you- self, meaning that if you raise $25 you will dress in a hallowe'en costume for school, or if you raise $100 you will temporarily die your hair bright pink. It is even better to raise money if you have fun with it.

Like I said before. Saskatchewan does not have a walk, but you can pledge to do the virtual walk. It is like any other walk; you just don't have to actually walk, and you have to deliver your funds to the Bank of Montreal with a Walk So Kids Can Talk stamp. So hopefully you will consider helping out Kids Help Phone and raise awareness of mental health. Helping out, even just a little bit, can make a big difference.
