Yorkdale  Central School Drama performed its Annual Theatre Showcase at Anne Portnuff Theatre April 28.

The group did three shows consisting of a junior production called “Mythologues” and a  senior production, “Seth’s Anxiety.”

They performed for audiences bussed in from their own school, MC Knoll and Dr. Brass.

“Seth’s Anxiety” chronicles the struggle of a boy to come to terms with his parents getting divorced and moving up to middle school. His fears come to life in his dreams, which feature singing lunch ladies who feed him slop to a group of bullies who cram him into a garbage can.

The senior group performed their show yesterday at the  Saskatchewan Middle Years Drama Festival in Regina.
