Cadet review


The 2834 64th Field Battery RCACC (Royal Canadian Artillery Cadet Corps) held its annual inspection and awards was held at the Armoury in Yorkton Saturday, June 14.

Among the award recipients were;

Col. M. Powell Trophy - Proficiency in Training - Level 1; Cadet Kelsey Valuck

Ladies Auxiliary Royal Canadian Legion - Proficiency in Training - Level 2; Cadet Kayla Carr

64th Battery-10th Field Regiment Trophy - General Proficiency - Level 4; Cadet Christian Flaman

Capt. G. Kaschl Trophy - Most Active Level 1 Cadet; Cadet Caitlin Lyons

WO R. Sliva - Top Shot Trophy - Air Rifle, Green Star; Cadet Kelsey Valuck

Most Improved Marksman - Air Rifle, Green Star; Cadet Carter Matychuk

WO Pede Trophy - Top Marksman; Cadet Christian Flaman

Orville Pede Trophy - Most Improved Marksman; Cadet Kara Taphorn

64th Battery Mess Trophy - Most Improved Cadet (any level); Cadet Kyle Taphorn

Capt. W. Gaitens Trophy - Best Attendance; Cadet Caitlin Lyons and Cadet Carter Matychuk

Capt. Warminger Trophy - Outstanding Personal Deportment; Cadet Ashton Cassidy

Capt. P. Jacques - Citizenship Award; Cadet Kara Taphorn and Cadet Kayla Carr

Capt. L. A. Nijssen Trophy - Espirit de Corps; Cadet Kyle Taphorn

The Soldier's Trophy; Cadet Fred Slater (2012 - 2013) and Cadet Kara Taphorn (2013 - 2014)
