Choir fills church with song

Yorkton Community Choir holds spring concert

St. Andrew’s United Church was filled with voices Sunday.

The Yorkton church was the locale for the Yorkton Community Choir Spring Concert.

For the concert the choir was joined by pianist Shani Apland.

The concert included a range of numbers including ‘True Light’ which featured soloists Lauren Morrison and Marty Visser, ‘Red is the Rose’ featuring soloist Tim Linsley, ‘Angels Watchin’ Over Me’ with soloists Jennifer Maier and Collette Karapita and ‘Down to the River to Pray’ which featured Apland and Kyla Eiffert.

For anyone wanting to become involved with the local choir the YCC rehearses Monday evenings at 7:30 at the Yorkton Regional High School choir room. You can also contact the YCC by emailing or follow the YCC on Facebook.
