Competitive dance

The senior group from Yorkton Troyanda Ukrainian dance has had a very busy spring in the competition circuit. It's of hard work and the love of dance that is creating a very much success of competitions.

The senior group from Yorkton Troyanda Ukrainian dance has had a very busy spring in the competition circuit. It's of hard work and the love of dance that is creating a very much success of competitions. March 25th the senior group travelled to Lloydminster to compete. It was well worth their time.

The group came home with scholarships. The marks were as follows Hutzul 88, Volyn 95, Buko 97, Hopak 90, Trans 94. In the Volyn trio which is Brooklynn Lechman, Sarah Anderson, Lauren Denysek had caught the attention of the adjudicator and it brought tears to his eyes to watch the girls perform so well they got a mark of 98 which was the highest in the competition.

Other dances of the trio were Hutzul with a mark of 96, and Trans 95. Brooklynn and Darnelle Lechman got a mark of 93 on their Volyn duet. Stephanie and Tim Sliva marks for their duets were Volyn 95, Buko 89. Tim, Stephanie and Joseph on their Poltava trio got a mark of 91. The senior group also travelled to Prince Albert April 8 and they also had great success and came home with trophies for the highest marks. Tim and Stephanie Sliva got a mark of 95 for Buko and 93 for Volyn.

Other duets were Darnelle and Brooklynn Lechman Volyn 95. Sarah Holowatuik with her sister Emma received a mark of 83, Tim, Stephanie and Joseph on their family trio got a mark of 93. Senior group dances were Hutzul 94, Volyn 95, Poltava 92, Buko 94, Trans 94. Hopak 93.
