Jackie Guy takes to Painted Hand Casino stage

Saturday Yorkton’s own Jackie Guy performed at the Painted Hand Casino to a standing room only concert.

The full house much exceeded “my expectations and the crowd was exceptionally warm and inviting,’ Guy told Yorkton This Week. ”... Yorkton really does show great support.”

The concert included not only Guy, but a number of musical guests including the fabulous fiddling of J.J. Guy from Saskatoon, Kristen Jonassen from Yorkton and the Guy Girls.

“It was Kristen's first appearance on the Casino Stage and her trio group included Alexis and Savannah Guy with harmonies similar to those of the Dixie Chicks,” said Jackie Guy.  “With now a taste for the stage, you can expect to see future appearances by the trio group.”

The band included the talents of Kylee Carver, Neil Ottenbreit, Eric Jonassen, Mick Gratias and J.J. Guy.
