The Yorkton Music Festival is making its big return next month. The event runs from March 7 to March 25. There will be band, choral, vocal, and piano performances spread across the month.

The festival is a chance for participants to develop their performance skills. They will receive coaching, evaluations, and workshops from professional adjudicators.

There are three adjudicators in the festival this year: Sharon (Guina) Gerspacher, Greg McLean, and Terri-Lynn Mitchell.

Gerspacher has taught piano and voice lessons in Yorkton, Battleford, Humboldt, and Regina. She began studying piano in Yorkton and she’s won numerous awards at music festivals.

McLean is a freelance conductor and musician. McLean received a Bachelor of Music degree from Brandon University and a Masters in Conducting from University of Manitoba. He is a full-time faculty member at the Prairieland Summer Jazz Camp in Regina.

Mitchell offers lessons on piano, trombone, voice, and music therapy in Ottawa. She graduated from Yorkton Regional High School before achieving a Masters in Music from the University of Ottawa.
