As the season changes it is time for the annual St. Gerard's Parish Fall Supper, which about 1000 people attend and is their biggest fund raiser.

"The Fall Supper is to bring our whole community together to St. Gerard's for not just a great meal but to meet friends, visit, and make new friends... and to get together with the young and the old," said Ted Osicki, main cook for the parish.

Ten peoplevolunteered to workeight hour days for three days to prepare a meal of beef, sausage, potatoes, vegetables, turnips, perogies, cabbage rolls, salads and desserts. An additional 30volunteers were needed on the day of the supper, held on Sunday, Oct. 3.

Everything is made from scratch, Osicki said, and members of the parish donated pies and salads. People were needed to set tables and clean up too.
