Audrey Parisloff, organizer of the Kidney Foundation Walk presented a cheque for $1,255 to Ross Fisher of The Health Foundation for use in the local dialysis program.
Ross Fisher, Executive Director of The Health Foundation, accepted the donation from Mrs. Parisloff, and expressed appreciation for the continuing support the local Kidney Foundation walk provides the dialysis program.
Mrs. Parisloff is the key organizer of the walk which started two years ago in Yorkton. "I'd like to thank all the businesses who contribute prizes to the raffle we hold, and who make donations. That's how we raise money for the local dialysis program," she explained.
"I became involved in organizing the "Give the Gift of Life" fun run/walk to help raise awareness for organ donations and to help raise money for the kidney foundation, as well as our local dialysis program. I would like to encourage everyone to sign your donor card and explain your wishes to your family," she continued.
