Yorkton celebrates Canada Day


The Western Development Museum hosted Canada Day celebrations in Yorkton Monday. The day's events included face painting, hay rides, coolest Canadian hat contest, and live entertainment. Novelty games, a treasure hunt and free birthday cake were also features of the day.



Yorkton Fire Department offered rides in their restored fire truck.

Cole, 5 reeled in his catch of the day at one of the novelty game booths at the Canada Day celebration.


Face painters were asked to paint everything from Canada flags and maple leafs to Roughrider logos and butterflies.
