The Yorkton Terriers have added a new assistant general manager, Gordon Pritchard to the current staff roster.

Originally from Regina, Pritchard played for the Parkland Mallers for a year before moving on to Neepawa Natives of the Manitoba Junior Hockey League (MJHL). He played college hockey in the U.S. for four years.

Following his college hockey, he became interested in the operational side of hockey. "I'm just trying to gain some experience in the business and maybe one day, hopefully be able to move on," says Pritchard who also realizes he has lots to learn. He finds Terrier G.M. Don Chesney a hard guy to keep up with, but a good mentor. As assistant G.M. he doesn't have specific duties but rather carries out whatever assignments Chesney gives him.

Yorkton is a great hockey community, Pritchard says. He recalls the great support the Mallers had in Yorkton. He also had several friends who played for the Terriers have nothing but good things to say about the city.

In his first two months with the team, he says he finds the Terrier Hockey Club a great organization which has treated him well.
