Canora resident wins $250,000 on LOTTO 6/49

Danny Rakochy couldn’t believe his eyes!

The Canora man was shocked when he checked his LOTTO 6/49 ticket and discovered he won $250,000 on one of the April 20 Guaranteed Prize draws, according to a Saskatchewan Lotteries release.

“I had to check and recheck the ticket a few times,” said Rakochy. “I even went to a different store and checked the ticket again and again. I really couldn’t believe what I was seeing.”

The happy winner said he has one major plan for his winnings.

“I’m going to pay some bills,” he said. “Then I’m going to take some time to think about what else to do.”

“It’s definitely going to help make life a little bit easier,” he concluded.

Rakochy purchased his $10 LOTTO 6/49 ticket at the Canora Pharmacy located at 214 Main Street in Canora. His winning selection was 21291093-02.
