On May 26, 2012. Jackie Johnson's wedding shower was held in the Grayson Ethnic Center. There was a great turn out with over 40 guests in attendance. The group played shower games and enjoyed a delicious lunch and cake. The bride was the recipient of a lovely array of household and garden gifts that were opened and displayed for all to see. The shower was put on by Jackie's bridesmaids - the bride's sister Jennah Johnson, Jillian Sapara of Esterhazy, Kyla Ruf from Stockholm and Spencer Bot also from Stockholm. Jackie Johnson and Jordan Sies will be getting married this June at Norman and Debbie Johnson's farm just outside of Dubuc.

Get well wishes from community friends and former neighbours go out to Trina Nagy of Esterhazy.

Stan Toth treated everyone at coffee row on the 29th to a "free" coffee and also brought donuts to go with it for his recent birthday on May 26. Hope you had a good one, Stan, and many more!!

Betty Willway was convenor for the Dubuc area for the Cancer Canvass for funds that was held during the month of April. Most of the canvassing was done at coffee row and other functions at the hut rather than the usual door-to-door canvassing that has been the norm in previous years. Over five hundred and fifty dollars was sent to the Canadian Cancer Society, Saskatchewan Branch thanx to the many generous donors.

Mary Forsberg has moved June 1 from her bungalow home on Noel St to the Prairie Manor senior units just half a block away. Imagine all the spare time you will have now without all that yardwork and garden to look after. We hope you will be very comfortable in your new "digs" and much good health and happiness is our wish for you.

Audrey and Peter Nielsen motored to Waskesiu Lake in Prince Albert National Park to attend the wedding of Katie McKelvie to Casey Loseth on June 2. It was to be an outdoor wedding but the weather forced everyone inside where everything was lovely in spite of the fact. Katie's sister, Bethany, was one of her bridesmaids. Katie and Bethany are the daughters of Audrey's niece, Jeri-Lou (Smith) and Greg McKelvie, of Prince Albert.

On route to and from the wedding, the Nielsens stopped for visits with Mary Ramstead and her daughter, Ivy, who both reside in PA. Mary asked about everyone back "home" and sent her greetings back to all who know her in Dubuc.
