A 22-year-old Regina man on release for allegedly trafficking crystal meth in that city now faces similar charges in Yorkton.

Dalton Dobrolowski appeared in Yorkton court May 9 facing one count each of trafficking methamphetamine and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking. In addition, he is charged with two counts of weapons possession for having a baseball bat and a can of bear spray at the time of his arrest May 9, and three counts of breach related to conditions of his Regina release.

The federal Crown, represented by Rhiannon Rees, again consented to Dobrowolski’s release. In addition to the statutory conditions of keeping the peace and being of good behaviour and appearing before the court when required the accused must live at an approved address, observe an 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. curfew, abstain from use alcohol and/or drugs, not possess weapons of any kind, and submit to personal and property searches if requested.

James Plemel, Saskatchewan’s chief judge of the Provincial Court filling in on the local bench, scheduled a next appearance for Dobrowolski May 30.

Sgt. Rob Laurent, head of the Yorkton provincial General Investigations Section of the RCMP, said they are seeing a rise in crystal meth cases of late.
