One of the suspects implicated in the January 7 armed robbery attempt at the Cornerstone Credit Union in Saltcoats is in jail on drug and breach charges.
Brayden McDermott was charged along with Colby Stachura as accessories after the fact in the robbery attempt by two youths.
McDermott made his first appearance on the armed robbery charge February 17 at which the judge gave him until March 8 to consult with a lawyer.
On February 22, he was back in court facing a possession of marijuana charge and a breach of recognizance. He was also charged with causing a disturbance.
He was remanded in custody. A show cause hearing has been set for February 26.
