Arrest made in Melville sexual assault

In the early morning of March 26, 2011, Melville/Ituna RCMP members were called to a residence in Melville, SK. Twenty-three-year old Tyler Delorme of Melville was arrested after an investigationinto a complaint of Sexual assault and unlawful confinement.

He is presently charged with Assault (x2), Uttering Threats (x2), Sexual Assault, Assault with a weapon, and Forcible confinement under the criminal code. He appeared in Melville court on March 28 and was remanded in custody. The investigation continues with the assistance of the Yorkton General Investigation Section, and the Yorkton Forensic Identification Section. Further details are being withheld to protect the identity of the victim.

Marijuana bust near Canora

On March 29, 2011, members from the Southern Enforcement Response Team, Kamsack Detachment, Canora Detachment and Regina Police Dog Services executed a search warrant on a rural property located northeast of Canora, SK. A marijuana grow operation was consequently located behind a false wall in a workshop. Marijuana seized from the property has a street value of approximately $11,000. A handgun was also seized from the property.

Two residents of the property are now facing numerous charges in relation to this. Fred Mydonick (51 years old) is facing charges of production of cannabis marijuana, possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, and numerous firearms charges. Anna Mydonick (48 years old) is facing charges of production of cannabis marijuana, and possession of cannabis marijuana for the purpose of trafficking. Both are scheduled to appear in court in Kamsack on May 10, 2011.
