Band Camp

This year, the Yorkton Junior Band Camp kicks off on Sunday, 6 August when over 70 participants and staff from around the Yorkton area will come together to begin an amazing week of music, learning and fun.
The camp offers comprehensive musical instruction for woodwind, brass and percussion students who have one or more years of playing experience. The camp will conclude with a final concert to showcase all that the participants have learned during the week. The concert will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 11. There will be a silver collection for admission.
The Saskatchewan Band Association’s 2017 Yorkton Junior Band Camp is filled with many activities to make the week both educational and fun! We have an excellent staff of qualified professionals from around the province lined up who are excited to share their musical knowledge with the participants.
The Yorkton camp is a day camp which is held at the Yorkton Regional High School and will generally run from 8:50 a.m. until 4:00 or 5:00 p.m. during the week with recreational activities also planned for some of the evenings. Participants are required to bring their own lunch each day to camp.
For more information and to register, please visit saskband.org. Registration will be open until camp starts at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, 6 August.
