Canada Day fishing excursion a success

Fishing is not just about catching fish. It is often also about families spending time together. When that time includes a nice stringer of fish, of course that is a great day.

Fishing is not just about catching fish.

It is often also about families spending time together.

When that time includes a nice stringer of fish, of course that is a great day.

And that was the case for Treyton Roussin, age 10 and his grandfather Brian Nelson on Canada Day.

The two, along with other members of the family spent part of Canada’s birthday fishing at the new Togo Bridge were they caught a very nice group of walleye and perch.

The fish were caught on pickerel rigs, using salted minnows as bait.
