Habitat for Humanity, Yorkton presented St. Michaels and St. Marys schools with participation certificates to the Grade 6 students that participated in the Canada wide contest for Habitat - The Meaning of a Home.

Thank you to all the students from St. Michaels and St. Marys schools, who participated in this year’s Meaning of Home contest, and all the teachers and parents who helped support it.

A national writing contest in support of Habitat for Humanity Canada, each student entry helped earn a $10 donation to the local Habitat in their community.

This year, over 8,000 students from Grades 4, 5 and 6 shared what home means to them.

In communities throughout Southern Saskatchewan, students helped raise over $3000 by entering the contest – donations that will help us build more decent and affordable homes in Regina, Estevan, Yorkton and Moose Jaw.
