The Salvation Army is gearing up for the Christmas season once again. For those who need help to make it through this holiday, hamper applications are now available at the Thrift Store at 20 Betts.


The Salvation Army is gearing up for the Christmas season once again. For those who need help to make it through this holiday, hamper applications are now available at the Thrift Store at 20 Betts. Applications must be returned by Monday, December 1st. Captains Glen and Rosanne Fraser are the new leaders, who see a great need for toys for children up to the age of thirteen. The army is also looking for volunteers to help operate the traditional Christmas Kettles that will be around town from Nov. 28 until Dec. 24. If you or your business can donate some time, please contact scheduling co-ordinator Gwen at 306-744-2442 or 306-744-3000. The funds raised in Yorkton stay in Yorkton, and help not only with Christmas, but with operation of the Food Bank throughout the year.
