Impaired driving implicated in injury

In the early morning hours of August 1, 2012, Kamsack RCMP responded to a call of a male with a serious leg injury at a Wall Avenue address in Kamsack.

In the early morning hours of August 1, 2012, Kamsack RCMP responded to a call of a male with a serious leg injury at a Wall Avenue address in Kamsack. The male was transported to the Kamsack Hospital for initial treatment and subsequently taken to Regina for further medical treatment.

The investigation identified a suspect and resulted in the arrest of a 29-year-old Kamsack resident. With the assistance of the Yorkton Forensic Identification Section and the "F" Division Forensic Collision Reconstruction team, Kamsack RCMP have laid charges of Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm and Impaired Driving Causing Bodily Harm against Jamie Nicholas Nabess. Nabess will be appearing in Kamsack Provincial Court on August 28, 2012.

Park vandalized

During the night of July 31, 2012, graffiti was spraypainted throughout Jubilee Park in Yorkton. Lime-green paint was found inside and outside of the men's washroom, on the concession stand, on the dugout, and on the watchtower. Police are looking for the public's assistance in trying to locate the individual(s) involved with this damage to city property.
