RCMP seeking missing inmate

The Yorkton Rural RCMP are asking for the public assistance in locating an inmate who went missing from the Saskatchewan Penitentiary in Prince Albert, Sask on New Year's Eve.

Staff at the prison discovered Steven Briggs, 24 years of age, was missing from the facility's minimum security unit at 10 p.m. on Monday, December 31st, 2018.

 

Steven Briggs is driving a 2015 Dodge truck, blue in colour, that is a 4 door crew cab model belonging to the Correctional Service of Canada.

On January 1st, 2019, at approximately 4 p.m. Steven Briggs was observed driving the Correctional Service of Canada vehicle in the Yorkton area.

 

The Yorkton Rural RCMP is asking for the public's assistance with any information in regards to the whereabouts of Steven Briggs or the Correctional Service of Canada vehicle.
