Sacred Heart French Immersion students organized a fun filled day celebrating bilingualism called the X-Forum Yorkton.

Grade 9 through 12 students planned, and lead activities for Grade 6 and 8 students in French.

All activities addressed different aspects of the French language, including the Saskatchewan francophone culture, French literacy and francophone music.

Students could be found playing kinball, exploring French authors, acting out improvisation games, listening to French pop culture songs, creating Fransaskois bracelets or eating poutine.

What is most amazing about the day was that the halls of Sacred Heart were filled with seventy nine students leading, learning and laughing in French.

Thank you to the French for the Future/Francais pour l’avenir for bringing in the francophone speakers and Canadian Heritage/Patrimoine Canada for providing funding through the bilingual advantage grant.  Merci pour vos contributions!  Vive le français!
