The accused approached a young person and forced them to drive away from the location, taking them to an ATM and forcing them to withdraw cash, said the RCMP in a release. They then drove south, and the victim was able to escape in Whitewood, Sk. The accused fled in the victim’s vehicle.

The RCMP sought out the public’s assistance in finding Shepherd, and he was arrested in Regina. He made his first appearance in Yorkton Provincial Court on September 12, and is currently remanded in custody.
