A 16-year-old Yorkton girl remains missing a week after she was last seen at the Yorkton bus depot.

Mekayla Bali, a.k.a. Niebergall, was reported missing by her family on April 12 when she failed to return from school Tuesday evening.

The Grade 11 Sacred Heart High School student is described as a Caucasian female, approximately 5’2” tall, weighing approximately 125 lbs, with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Police originally reported Mekayla might have been headed to Regina or Saskatoon, but that is still not confirmed and investigators are not ruling out the possibility she is still in the Yorkton area.

RCMP also say they have no evidence she has come to any harm, but are seeking to contact her to ensure she is safe. They are encouraging her to contact them if she is able.

Authorities are urging anyone with any information on Mekayla’s whereabouts to contact their local police department or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
