Part of the Rural Roots Ag Day in Yorkton was a tour of Harvest Meats. Bill Grant with Harvest Meats showed everybody how they made, packaged and shipped the many things Harvest makes in Yorkton, though primarily farmer’s sausage since the plant was working on a major Costco order at the time, talked about the company culture and how they ensure a relatively low employee turnover, and personal stories such as how his son named the company’s Mini Stix.
