A second scheduled preliminary hearing for a Sturgeon Lake man charged with manslaughter didn’t proceed.
The first preliminary hearing for Ryan Kyle Daniels, 40, was scheduled for April 29-30 but was adjourned. The hearing was rescheduled to Sept. 15 but was adjourned on that day in Prince Albert Provincial Court.
Daniels was charged for the murder of Darwin Al Naytowhow, 48. According to Prince Albert RCMP they found Naytowhow unresponsive on Sturgeon Lake First Nation on July 14, 2019. EMS declared him deceased at the scene.
Daniels was arrested but released on bail in July 2019.
Daniels is now scheduled to appear in Prince Albert Provincial Court Oct. 1 to speak to the matter.
Sturgeon Lake First Nation is about 30 kilometres northwest of Prince Albert.
