BLOMMAERT- Margaretha Olivia Blommaert. May 31, 1950 - Oct. 28, 2017. Margaretha Olivia Blommaert of Nelson, BC passed away on Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017. Born in Audenardi, Belgium, May 31, 1950, to Florent and Hendrika Blommaert. Maggy spent 30 years as a hairdresser and spent the last 5 plus years beading and making beautiful tapestries and jewellery for family and friends. Maggy was an extremely loyal friend and did everything she could to stand up for people’s rights and help in any way she could. The love she had in her heart had no bounds. Her pride and joy was her grandchildren Jason, Travis and Emma. Maggy is survived by her daughter Poppy (Kelly) and their children, Jason, Travis, Emma, Tyson and Travis; her brothers Gerard (Laurel), Barend (Pearl), Charlie (Lorianne) and David (Jo Ellen). Maggy is proceeded in death by her parents Florent and Hendrika Blommaert and her husband Simon Roy. Contributions in memory of Maggy can be made to any food cupboard of your choice.
