Lorne

Lorne Stanley Brazeau gracefully passed away on December 12, 2017 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre at the age of 63. He was brought into this world on July 25, 1954 to parents Stanley Joseph and Mary Jane Brazeau. He attended Allary School, which was very close to the family farm where he grew up with many brothers and sisters. It was here that he learned his exemplary work ethic, instilled in his blood, which he carried for life. As a hard worker, he took pride in his work and was never found sitting down - unless it was for coffee, beer or great conversation. The man could talk! He enjoyed playing music on the guitar, or, a famous pastime: the omnicord. Lorne was predeceased by his dad, Stanley Joseph Brazeau and sister Joyce Wells. He is survived by his loving children, Jaren Brazeau, Irene Brazeau, Keri Whitton (Jason), Kimberly Scheu, Tyler Scheu and Rebecca Scheu (James). Lorne leaves to mourn, his mother, Mary Jane, siblings Roy Brazeau (Alerena), Lyn Fast (Wayne), Lloyd Brazeau (Terri), Beverly Engle, Lyle Brazeau (Regina), Debbie Brazeau, Robert Brazeau, Sandra Brazeau (Gary), brother-in-law Garnet Wells and his many grandchildren Alissa Brazeau (John), Chelsea Brazeau, Aysha Brazeau, Jayston Brazeau, Taren Brazeau (Ter-Bear), Crougar Whitton, Zeigan Whitton, Nesa Whitton, Cyrus MacDonald, Liam Scully, Riley Scheu and one great-grandchild, John Natzfiger, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Prayers were held on Sunday, December 17 at 7:30 pm from St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church in Yorkton. A funeral mass was celebrated for Lorne on Monday, December 18 at 11:00 am also from St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church. Interment followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery. Pall bearers were Lyndon Brazeau, Robert Charka, John Melenchuk, Barry Pelletier, Lance Wells and Brian Scheu. Arrangements entrusted to Christie's Funeral Home and Crematorium.
