Predeceased by her parents, Pete and Roseanna Ducharme and her siblings, Frank, George, Joseph (Robert), James, Fred, Louis, Dora, Victoria, Nora and Beatrice. Earlier predeceased by 4 more siblings who passed as infants. Irene was born December 26, 1945 in Dauphin, MB. She attended school in Dauphin and at the Fouillard School "Down the Corner". As a child and young woman she helped out with many chores, gardening and day to day tasks for the household. She married Harvey Fleury November 19, 1966 at St. Hubert Catholic Church "Down the Corner" near Binscarth, MB. They have three sons: Robert, Randy and Claude. Irene was a homemaker to raise her sons and she attended and supported all their school and sporting activities. A fond memory of home life with Mom at dinnertime is the hot bannock and always having pudding, jello or rice pudding for dessert. In 1986, Irene attended a Seamstress program through the Metis' Federation in Yorkton, SK as a member of the Yorkton Metis' Women's Federation. With the new skill she attained, Mom made small light blankets for her sons which we still have today. Irene's hobbies and interests were varied which included going to bingo, playing cards, Yahtzee, horse shoes, guitar, singing and dancing. When we lived in Binscarth, MB she was a member of the Russell bowling league and became a very skilled bowler with hardware and trophies awarded. Sadly, she leaves to mourn her husband, Harvey, children: Robert (Judy), Randy (Melissa) and Claude, sister Annie (George), 6 grandchildren, 3 stepgrandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The Prayer Vigil was held on Friday, January 12, 2018 with Mary Bybliw presiding and Lorraine Lysak accompanying St. Gerard's choir. The Lector was Randy Fleury.
