Nagy

Mildred, beloved wife of the late Nickolas Koroll, the late Zolie Nagy and the late Frank Sass, mother of the late Dean Nagy, passed away on December 11, 2017. Mildred was born May 22, 1932, the daughter of Kalman and Emilia (nee Gulash) Padar in Cana. Mildred got her education in Waldron and later attended Hilltop School. In 1950, Mildred married Nick Koroll and lived in the Aston district where they farmed together and enjoyed a vibrant community life, up until the time of his passing. In addition to farm work, she worked first at Yorkton Airport, then at Yorkton Union Hospital. In 1973, she married Zolie Nagy and they lived in the Otthon district where they farmed until his passing. She lived with Frank Sass in the Beaverdale district North of Fenwood from 1986 until his passing in 2007. She has one son, Dean Nagy, who passed away in 1990. Mildred always had time for family and friends and if anyone needed a hand you could count on her being there. She took great delight in sharing a good joke with a snarky smile and often a witty sense of humour. She loved to have a beautiful yard - her homes had immaculate lawns, always neat and trim. She loved to socialize, be it playing cards, dancing or traveling with her husband and son Dean. She traveled from Winnipeg to Flin Flon, Edmonton to Kelowna and Dawson Creek, Fort Nelson to Vancouver. In 1995 she traveled to Czech Republic and visited all across the country. Mildred was predeceased by her parents, Kalman and Emilia (Gulash) Padar, her husbands Nickolas Koroll, Zolie Nagy and Frank Sass and her son Dean, her brothers Rudolph Padar, William Padar and her sisters, Mary Gaura, Yolan Tuba, Betty Machinski, Agnes Kitch and Edna Herasymuik, her in-laws Ensel Gaura, Albert Tuba, Mike Machinski, Arnold Kitch and Nestor Herasymuik. She leaves to mourn, two godchildren, Myrna Lang and Charlotte Harris, as well as sisters-in-law Annie (Rudolph) Padar and Hilda (William) Padar and numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and close friends. Prayers were held for Mildred on Friday, December 15 at 7:30 pm from St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church in Yorkton. The funeral mass was celebrated by Fr. Louis Kim Nguyen on Saturday, December 16 at 11:30 am also from St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church. Interment followed in the Yorkton City Cemetery. Pall bearers were Lionel Woytas, Rob Stewart, Blaine Denesiuk, Natalie Padar, Chad Padar and Alexander Harris and honourary pall bearers were Myrna Lang, Louise Machinski and Charlotte Harris. If friends so desire, memorial donations may be made in Mildred's memory to St. Gerard's Roman Catholic Church or to a charity of one's choice. Arrangements entrusted to Christie's Funeral Home and Crematorium.
