Police are seeking public help in locating a 14-year-old who went missing during a swimming trip to Gallagher Centre.

Nataio Nevada Redwood is described 5’7 and 130 lbs. He was last seen wearing a black and white hooded sweatshirt and black sweat pants. He also had a black backpack with him.

Sexual assault

A Yorkton man remains in custody on sexual assault charges following an appearance in Yorkton Provincial Court October 26.

Clinton Bruce Tillman is accused of two counts each of sexual assault and administering a noxious thing to two women.

The substance, Gabapentin is notoriously known as a “date rape drug.”

The Crown, represented by Todd Wellsch opposed Tillman’s release and Judge Ross Green ordered a bail verification report. A show cause hearing is scheduled for tomorrow morning.

The judge also issued a publication ban to protect the identity of the victims.

Hit and charged

A Yorkton youth has been charged with driving without due care and attention following a collision with two pedestrians October 26.

The pedestrians were crossing the street at Circlebrooke Drive and Rosefield Drive when they were struck by a vehicle being driven by a 16-year-old male. Both suffered minor injuries for which they were transported to hospital and treated.

Police misconduct

An RCMP constable has been charged with sexual assault related to an incident during a party May 20 at a private residence in Dillon, SK.

On June 1 the RCMP North District Management Team received a complaint and initiated an investigation. On June 8, Const. Randy McKay was placed on suspension pending a criminal investigation that concluded October 21 with one count of sexual assault.

McKay was released on an undertaking with a number of conditions is scheduled to appear in Saskatchewan Provincial Court in Buffalo Narrows on December 9.

At the time of the incident, McKay was posted at the Buffalo Narrows Detachment.

B&E Spree

Canora RCMP is investigating a recent rash of break and enters. In the last month, the Canora detachment has received approximately 25 reports of break and enters to farm yards, and local buisnesses.

Some of the items stolen include money, a Honda generator, chain saw, Mikita cut-off saw, numerous power tools, cigarettes, ice cream treats, chips, liquor (Kirkland brand), diesel and gasoline (including Jerry cans), and aviation equipment.

An item of note was an entire cash till.

The towns that have been experiencing these thefts include Canora, Buchanan, Rama, Sturgis and Preeceville, and the surrounding RMs. Anyone with information is asked to the Canora RCMP Detachment at 306-563-4700 or Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS
