The Saskatchewan Urban Municipalities Association (SUMA) convention is coming up. We citizens of Saskatchewan need a complete network of scheduled bus services for most Saskatchewan communities.
There was a petition containing 844 signatures presented to Sask Party Government on December 4, 2018.
That petition called for reinstatement of bus services to most communities in Saskatchewan. To date there has been no response from the Government.
The elimination of STC has caused enormous difficulties throughout the Province. The financial hardship caused by the loss of bus service has hit seniors and businesses especially hard.
SUMA must pass an emergent resolution from the floor to pressure the Government to reinstate complete bus service, under private or public ownership, for citizens of Saskatchewan.
