Big catfish for well-known comedian

Locally, Tazz Norris might be best recognized as a stand-up comedian who has performed in Yorkton on several occasions, including the Yorkton Summer Exhibition.

But, the man typically just known as Tazz is a fisherman too.

Fishing the Red River recently, near Lockport, MB, Tazz found a good spot where the channel catfish were hungry.

The one pictured was 35 inches and “probably weighed in at 24ish pounds,” reported Tazz, who lives in Winnipeg, adding “and the bigger was 37 1/4 inches and probably around the 26-27 lbs.”

They were using pickerel rigs with shrimp to entice the ‘Big Cats.”
