On July 24, 2019, at approximately 11:53 a.m., Broadview RCMP responded to a serious motor vehicle collision involving a motorcycle and a Correctional Service Canada (CSC) transport vehicle on the intersection of Highway 1 and Highway 9 near Whitewood, SK.
The driver of the motorcycle, a 62-year-old male, was transported to a hospital in Broadview where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Officers received no reports of injuries to the driver or the passengers of the CSC transport vehicle.
The name of the deceased will not be released.
There was no indication that alcohol was a factor in the collision. There are no charges anticipated.
The investigation is ongoing.
