Esterhazy RCMP is seeking the public’s assistance in locating an adult male who escaped police custody.
Jason Mitton (DOB:1994-03-24) was arrested by Esterhazy RCMP on July 12, 2021 and was charged with the following:
- 1 count, mischief under $5000, Section 430(4), Criminal Code
- 1 count, assault on peace officer, Section 270(1)(a), Criminal Code
- 1 count, attempt to escape lawful custody, Section 145(1)(a), Criminal Code
- 1 count, assault, Section 266, Criminal Code
- 1 count, fail to comply with undertaking, Section 145(4), Criminal Code
He was last seen on the 200 block of Ancona Street in Esterhazy at approximately 2:20 a.m. on July 13. He fled on foot in a southerly direction.
Mitton is described as 5’7” and 220 lbs. He is balding, has short brown hair and a brown beard. He has a cut on the right side of his forehead. He was last seen wearing light grey underwear.
