Fatal collision investigation: Saskatoon RCMP

On Jan. 23, around 6:15 p.m. Saskatoon RCMP responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on Highway #41 south of Aberdeen. Aberdeen Fire and EMS were already on scene when officers arrived.

On Jan. 23,  around 6:15 p.m. Saskatoon RCMP responded to a report of a two vehicle collision on Highway #41 south of Aberdeen. Aberdeen Fire and EMS were already on scene when officers arrived.

The 74-year-old male driver of the southbound pickup truck was transported to hospital with what were described as serious injuries. The 67-year-old female passenger of the southbound truck was pronounced deceased on scene.

The 34-year-old adult male driver of the northbound truck was transported to hospital with what were described as serious injuries. The four-year-old passenger of the northbound truck was transported to hospital via STARS.

We do not have any updates on their conditions and we will not be releasing any further information about them at this time.

Saskatoon RCMP and RCMP Collision Reconstruction continue to investigate. Highway #41 was closed for the duration of the investigation; it is now open.
