Final update: Melville RCMP respond to single motor vehicle collision on Highway 10 near Melville

On August 6, 2020, at approximately 6:15 a.m., Melville RCMP responded to a serious single motor vehicle collision on Highway 10 approximately 1.5 miles southwest of Melville, SK.

On August 6, 2020, at approximately 6:15 a.m., Melville RCMP responded to a serious single motor vehicle collision on Highway 10 approximately 1.5 miles southwest of Melville, SK.

Initial investigation indicates that the truck was travelling northbound on Highway 10 when it rolled into the south ditch. The driver and lone occupant of the vehicle, a 62-year-old male, was declared deceased at the scene.

Melville Fire, RCMP Traffic Services, CN Police and Saskatchewan Highways attended to assist and provide traffic control. An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist also attended to examine the scene.
