Gymkhana events part of activities during Preeceville Western Weekend

The Etoimamie Valley Riders Club hosted a gymkhana event with different age categories during the Preeceville Western Weekend on July 13 and 14. Dave Hodgetts was the announcer for Saturday's events and Levi Young was the announcer on Sunday.

In the wee pee category, barrel event on Saturday and Sunday, Ella Sywenky of Hudson Bay won first place, Emma Young of Weekes won second and Mersade Lindholm of Lintlaw placed third. The two-day high point winner was Sywenky.

In the wee pee poles event on Saturday, Sywenky won first place, Young placed second and Lindholm won third. On Sunday, Sywenky placed first, Young placed second and Thea Young of Weekes placed third. Sywenky was the two-day high point winner.

In the wee pee speed barrels on Saturday, Sywenky placed first, Young placed second and Lindholm placed third. On Sunday, Sywenky won first followed by Jade Beatty of Sturgis for second place and Thea Young for third place. Sywenky was the two-day high point winner.

Other participants were Clay Kabatoff of Wroxton and Paisley Hodgetts of Lintlaw.

In the pee wee barrels on Saturday, Tristen Beatty of Sturgis placed first, Kaisley Harbarchuk of Benito placed second and Shyann Lindholm of Lintlaw placed third. On Sunday, Raia Sywenky of Hudson Bay placed first, Harbarchuk placed second and Lindholm placed third. Harbarchuk was the two-day high point winner.

In the pee wee poles on Saturday and Sunday, Sywenky placed first, Beatty placed second and Harbarchuk placed third. Sywenky was the two-day high point winner.

In the pee wee games, Saturday winners were Beatty, first, Lindholm, second place and Maccoy Galloway, third. On Sunday, Harbarchuk placed first, Sywenky placed second and Savannah Neilson of Preeceville won third place.

Other participants were: Sarah Foster of Benito, Trey Harbarchuk of Benito and Austin Sywenky of Hudson Bay.

In the junior barrels and poles event on Saturday and Sunday, Keara Yanke of Hudson Bay won first and Jocelynn Hue of Edmonton won second. Yanke was the two-day high point winner. In the games event, Yanke won first place and Hue won second on Saturday. On Sunday Hue place first with Yanke having no time. There were only two competitors in the junior category.

In the senior barrels on Saturday, Lexie Young of Preeceville placed first, Ronnie Prekaski placed second and Carmi Harbarchuk of Hudson Bay placed third. On Sunday, Theresa Lang of Hudson Bay won first place, Young placed second and Prekaski placed third. Young was the two-day high point winner.

In the senior poles event on Saturday, Lang placed first, Annie Kabatoff of Wroxton placed second and Harbarchuk placed third. On Sunday, Lang placed first, Harbarchuk placed second and Kabatoff won third place. The two-day high point winner was Lang.

In the senior games on Saturday, Kabatoff placed first, Lang placed second and Prekaski placed third. On Sunday, Rhonda Palaniuk of Sturgis won first, Lang placed second and Prekaski placed third. The two-day high point winner was Lang.

Other participants were: Brooke Boychuk of Hudson Bay, Reiden Hodgetts of Lintlaw and Dee Ann Sywenky of Hudson Bay.
