Despite weather delay’s, team, fans, and staff were treated to a great weekend at Ron's Field of Dreams in Leslie Beach Resort.

The event was set to be a Friday-Saturday tournament but with mother nature not cooperating the Leslie Beach staff and volunteers, and team mangers, worked hard Friday and Saturday to allow the first annual event to run Saturday evening and Sunday.

There were fun but competitive games, fireworks, and great crowds all weekend.

The Players would like to thanks to all the volunteers and Leslie staff for a great facility and all the work that went into getting the diamond dry and in playing condition given all the Friday rain. We would also like to thank all the Volunteers that worked the Balloon Saloon and Remax Blue Chip Realty - Yorkton for sponsoring the Saloon.

With five local area teams in the event it was a fun weekend of ball with plenty of fans for each team.

In the spirit of the event Buykles Store had eight-of-nine players all related, and another dozen family/fans of all ages in the crowd with Buykles jerseys on.

Most of the games were within a couple runs and although it was a much more relaxed environment on the field the games were still competitive.

Rosebud Junior Royals used the event in preparations for the upcoming U16 Nationals in Sasktoon.  The Junior Royals pitchers also pitched for the Rosebud Royals to allow them all to get some gameplay innings in.

Leslie Beach and all of the teams are already looking forward to helping run a similar event next year.

Final Standings:

Foam Lake Merchants Fastball Club 3-1
Buykles Store 3-1
Fishing Lake Cubs 2-2
Rosebud Royals 1-3
Rosebud Jr Royals 1-3
