Kurtis Dobbin is still reveling in his recent LOTTO 6/49 $1 million win. The Regina resident won the million-dollar Guaranteed Prize on the August 7 draw.

“I was very excited – still am,” he said. “I had to scan my ticket on the Mobile app twice to make sure I wasn’t seeing things, but when $1,000,002 came up for the second time, I started shaking – my whole body was buzzing!”

Dobbin purchased his winning ticket at Friends Convenience Store, located at 505 Broad Street in Regina. He took his ticket to a second store soon after discovering his win on the Mobile app.

“I gave my ticket to the clerk and said, ‘Is this real? Are you serious?’” he said. “I was shocked!”

The new winner said he has a couple of ideas for his winnings.

“I’m going to pay off some bills – it’ll be so nice to not have any debt. And I would like to share some of the prize money with some family members,” he said.

“I would also like to plan a trip somewhere,” he continued. “I have never left North America, so I’m starting to think about places I could go.”

Dobbin’s winning prize selection was 3300650-01.
